My first Black Friday as a dog parent was nothing short of an adrenalin rush.
The last two weeks of November saw an explosive number of product launches, sales, and marketing emails that it was difficult sticking to wish lists and budgets.
We survived those crazy weeks, thankfully, and snagged some really good deals in the thick of the holiday rush. I thought it’d be fun to share our official Black Friday/Christmas 2021 roundup:
1. Clicino clicker ring

Who can resist a limited edition pink Clicino clicker? ?
I love the Clicino clicker ring because the sound is much softer and more ideal to use during indoor training sessions. Wear it on your finger and click without worrying about dropping it during a session.
2. Ripley & Rue Christmas graphic tee bandanas

Badass Ripley & Rue released a collection of Christmas-themed bandanas that could turn heads and make anyone laugh out loud. I got “Peed on the Tree” for Brooklyn because he’s a walking hose and “I like your balls” for Windy. ?
R&R went through a brand refresh as well, so I wanted to get my hands on their new sticker and packaging.
3. Gray + Hound collars

I discovered Gray + Hound on Instagram and instantly became a fan of their brand story. Apart from their designs and that their collars are geared towards adventurous pups, I enjoy watching and reading their content, which in a lot of ways play a huge part in my decision to support their business.
This is the first batch of collars I got for the girls with a few more on the way. I’m especially excited to share what Brooklyn’s collars look like. ?
4. Lambwolf Collective New Jupiter paracord collar

I got Windy a Lambwolf Collective New Jupiter collar for Black Friday to see what a paracord collar is like. I really like how Moon (a light gray) looks good against her red and white coat, though the smell after using it for a while tends to stick.
Besides that detail, I was happy with our BF package and look forward to seeing what other designs they come up with. Apart from the collar, we got a greeting card and some cute stickers!
If you’re planning on ordering directly from them, order direct. LBC shipped our package, so it arrived safely. Huge win!
5. The Foggy Dog Tartan Plaid accessories

I can’t think of anything else that speaks festive Christmas than The Foggy Dog Tartan plaid. I got Brooklyn the bandana, Windy her first sailor bow (the brand called it a “lady bow”), and a matching scrunchie for me.
6. The Foggy Dog x The Dogist bandana and scrunchie (plus other designs)

I’ve been a The Dogist follower on Instagram and Facebook for as long as I can remember. Seeing these snapshots of dogs around New York city always brings me joy. ⭐
So when The Dogist announced a line of merchandise they’re going to sell for the holidays, I didn’t back down one bit. ?
And because they were having a sale, I added all the bandanas and scrunchies I’ve been wanting to get for a long time:
- Upcycled denim – they partnered with The New Denim Project, a family-run zero-waste textile mill in Guatemala
- Flax lines scrunchie
- Red and black Buffalo check set
- Mammoth plaid bandana
No regrets whatsoever! There’s just one other design I’m waiting to get before I put my The Foggy Dog obsession to rest.
7. Bocce’s Bakery treats

I discovered Bocce’s Bakery when my sister asked if I wanted to buy treats for the pups at a local pet shop she worked at.
I was looking for a low-calorie option for Windy’s weight management and felt I hit the jackpot with this brand. They’re so easy to purchase from and they have different treat options, depending on the work you’re doing with your dog. I always buy their Training Bites and Soft and Chewy treats because they’re soft and quick to swallow.
? Use Bocce’s Bakery treats for indoor training sessions. Save your smelly, dehydrated meat treats for outdoor work where there are more distractions.
8. Aspin Approved treats and chews

Remember the smelly, dehydrated meat treats I mentioned? We get ours from Aspin Approved, a local brand of healthy, dehydrated meat treats and chews. I made sure to stock up for the holidays, knowing how slow local deliveries are during this time.
Aspin Approved is run by a sister duo, Aly and Aya, and represented by their family of dogs.
? Windy is currently a brand ambassador and would love it if you got your pups AA products for their enrichment and training. Use her code AAWINDY10
for 10% off your order.
9. Wild One personalized bowl and supplements

After hearing about how germs and bacteria live in ceramic and plastic bowls, I got Windy her own Wild One personalized bowl in their new color, Lilac. I also got a box of their waste bags and more of their FLEX hip and joint supplement to help with Windy’s hip dysplasia.
Getting a wide stainless steel bowl turned out to be a good move. Windy’s drinking more water than she’d usually do, which will help keep urinary tract infections at bay.
10. Tails & Bloom resin tags (Autumn/Winter 2021 collection)

I’m a long-time follower of Tails & Bloom and a huge fan of Hannah’s work since discovering their brand on Instagram last year. I’ve pieces from each seasonal collection, and for Black Friday/Christmas I got their Autumn and Winter 2021 tags for Sappho, Scarlet, and Windy.
Look at how gorgeous they are!
11. Lucy & Co. harness and raincoat

This was more of a replacement purchase. Windy’s first harness from Lucy & Co. was an extra large and didn’t fit her very well now that she lost weight. I got her the Royal Garden harness and Singing in the Rain reversible raincoat in large so they’d fit her better. The raincoat was a steal since it’s a retiring print.
12. Trust Your Dog BioThane® muzzle

Last but definitely not least is Windy’s Trust Your Dog custom muzzle, something I’ve been eagerly waiting for a long time! She’s been snarfing poop and all kinds of nasty things during our walks since going on a diet, so I felt it was time to invest in one.
The muzzle is made of BioThane® so it’s easy to clean and comes in a variety of colors. Amy Creaven, the maker behind the brand, was super helpful with the measurements that I felt more confident that the muzzle’s gonna fit Windy’s face so well. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough in my budget for more colors or rhinestones.
What was on your Black Friday 2021 haul?
I’m curious about what other pet parents chose to buy last Black Friday. Was it a new set of walking accessories? More of your dog’s favorite treats and chews? Supplements to keep their health up? Whatever was on your shopping bag, I’m sure it made your puppers very happy!
